Big Elm IPA and Newburyport IPA. Both local Massachusetts breweries, both 7%, both use totally different type of hops. If u are just getting into the craft beer/IPA scene these are great starters. Not too bitter.

Forbidden Root
This beer is a big leauge home run slugger for sure. It may not even be right to compare it to Not Your Father's Root Beer, but we will anyway. The bold taste defienatly has a less sugary feeling than that of Not Your Father's and thats not a bad thing. Forbidden Root does not hide behind the sugar with an overbearring taste. This beer smooth and you can defiently have more than one. This is how it should be made.Cheers. ABV:5.5% Style: Root Beer

Keeper- Castle Island
ABV:6.5%IBU:48SRM:7
MALTS:2 ROW, VIENNA, CRYSTAL, DEXTROSE
HOPS:COLUMBUS, SIMCOE, CASCADE
YEAST:HOUSE YEAST
AVAILABILITY:YEAR ROUND
FIRST DEBUTED:DECEMBER 11, 2015
This flagship India Pale Ale is smooth but punchy; balanced but intense. Despite the colossal amount of hops we cram into this beer, it's still remarkably approachable-for pros and rookies alike-so grab a Keeper and save the day.
It is clear why this is castle island's flagship. Great tasting IPA. Truly a beer that is a great introduction into craft beers for first timers. You can definitely taste the hops in this craft but they are not overpowering. You can tell someone put hard work into this one.s.
